Because 2-1-1 is a relatively new three-digit number, it will take us many years to ensure access from all telephones. Generally, callers from areas not yet programmed for
2-1-1 hear either a "busy" or a "not in service" recording. If you live in one of the counties with 2-1-1 service and are unable to reach 2-1-1, please report technical difficulty by calling our office at 317-921-7527. Please DO NOT call your local telecommunications provider.

While you may see a telephone company service truck in your neighborhood, the technician will NOT need to come into your house to fix a 2-1-1 issue. Resolving 2-1-1 technical issues will not incur any repair costs to you.
